Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationFredrik Charpentier Ljungqvist is Professor of History, especially Historical Geography, at the Department of History, Stockholm University, and also holds the title as Associate Professor of Physical Geography at the same university. Present research interests include climate history, food security history, demographic history and related fields. Olov Lund is a postdoctoral researcher in economic history at the Department of Economic History and International Relations, Stockholm University. His research concerns everyday life, wage work, taxes, social networks and state-building in late medieval Scandinavia. He is currently working on a project on the roles and functions of the judicial and political office of lawman (lagman) in Sweden (including Finland), c. 1350–1560. Janken Myrdal is Professor emeritus in agrarian history at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Uppsala, now also affiliated to the Department of Economic History and International Relations, Stockholm University. He has researched agricultural history for several periods, and the general cultural and economic history of the Middle Ages. He is currently working on a project concerning agricultural world history. Dag Retsö is Associate Professor in economic history at the Department of Economic History and International Relations, Stockholm University. His research areas include Swedish fiscal administration and standards of living in the Middle Ages as well as climate history.
