Overview

MEDICAL SURGICAL NURSING The first of the four Medical Surgical Nursing courses in your degree program is Medical Surgical Nursing. It can be taken in the third year's first semester. Your prior understanding of Medical Surgical Nursing principles, concepts, and theories will be enhanced through the course. Additionally, the nursing models and theories that are utilized to guide current nursing care planning and implementation are briefly discussed. The care of patients with a variety of medical-surgical conditions is discussed, and you are expected to participate in activities that will help you apply the new information to your current practice. Over the course of 15 weeks, the theory, laboratory exercises, and clinical practice are all included. The course is divided into smaller units known as Modules. The order in which each unit is presented will guide your learning. The learning objectives for each module and unit help you keep track of what you need to know and what you should be able to do when you're done. Each week, small units of content containing recommendations for improving knowledge retention will be presented. These recommendations are outlined in the course materials. The location, time, and title of the practical session will be discussed online with you if that is what you prefer
