In total, there are 540 pages and the book is divided in 11 major parts: diagnostic workup, thoracic surgical procedures, upper airway, disorders of lung, lung transplantation, mediastinum, pleura, chest wall and diaphragm, pulmonary vascular conditions, trauma and esophagus. In this way, it covers all topics encountered by a general thoracic surgeon. It doesn't look like a classical textbook: there are many subheadings and throughout the whole book bullet lists are used indicating the most important points.
