Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationTim Herrera is a Communications Director, author, free-lance writer, college writing and communications instructor, and a former journalist and radio talk show host. He worked for 22 years in the journalism business, with most of that time spent honing his public speaking skills in television and radio. For more than 12 years, he was a reporter and anchor at KCRA-TV in Sacramento where he was fortunate to have earned 14 prestigious journalism awards. He has also worked as a television and radio reporter and anchor in Dallas-Fort Worth and Pittsburgh. In 2003, Tim was a runner-up for the Will Rogers Humanitarian Award, presented by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. He has a B.A. in Journalism from Penn State University and an M.A. in Strategic Communications from National University. He also has extensive experience in media relations having served as Communications Director for several agencies for the State of California. When he is not working at his communications job or writing books, Tim teaches communication studies courses for colleges that have distance learning programs. He currently serve as the Communications Director for the Sacramento County Office of Education where he has been fortunate to have earned numerous awards from the California School Public Relations Association (CalSPRA).
