OverviewThis study investigates adherence to professional ethics among print and broadcast media journalists in Makurdi Metropolis, Nigeria. The research identifies factors influencing ethical compliance, including political pressure, financial constraints, lack of training, and organizational policies. Employing a survey design, data were collected from 382 respondents using questionnaires. Findings reveal that while journalists demonstrate adherence to ethics through accuracy, fairness, and social responsibility, ethical breaches remain due to external and internal pressures.
