Author Information

Sue Swinson, Author As a parent, grandparent or friend, you want to instill a love for reading and storytelling in the little ones you love. However, as you know, it is often a challenge to be certain which children's books will reflect positive values and teach the life lessons that are significant to a growing child. As a book store owner, I say: ""Look no further than books written by children's author, Sue Swinson."" Sue is devoted to writing children's books that are entertaining as well as educational. Her colorful characters present realistic examples of making right choices (or the results when we make wrong choices) and teach children about values that make life meaningful. A former teacher and librarian, Sue also taught children's Sunday School for 17 years, tutored reading and taught piano for many years. Through these experiences as well as producing school plays and programs, she well knows how to communicate with children. Now she is fulfilling a long-time dream of publishing stories that not only communicate, but capture the attention of the reader. As exacting as Sue is about storytelling, she places equal emphasis on presenting first-rate illustrations in her colorful books. Working with Linda Shaw, an Ohio illustrator, the pair consistently publish high-quality, entertaining books that are sure to be the favorites on any child's bookshelf.
