McGregor the Moose is a book inspired by true events. It is about a baby calf moose that lived along the mighty McGregor River in northern BC. This book is his journey that he shared with his mom, and life lessons that moose calves learn from their mother. However, one day McGregor met with some danger and he could not find his mom. He was caught by conservation officers and shipped to the Spoolmak game farm. He missed his mom and his home. He needed to escape and get home...will he make it is the question!

I worked as a conservation officer throughout British Columbia for 25 years. I experienced an assortment of different adventures in my years of work, including capturing and reallocating McGregor the moose calf. As conservation officers we would travel to work by various methods, including helicopters and airplanes, jet boats and ATVs, on horseback and by foot. Our job was to protect the environment and the animals that lived within it. It was a fun and exciting job that came with many rewards but also put you in harm's way.
