He is the director of the Mayo Clinic Transplant Center in Arizona. His areas of clinical expertise include improved access to liver transplantation, expanding the liver donor pool, and care of patients awaiting liver transplant. Julie K. Heimbach, M.D., is a professor of surgery at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science and the director of the Mayo Clinic Transplant Center in Rochester, Minn. Her primary focus is adult and pediatric liver transplantation and living-donor surgery.
