Author Information

Janice Van Cleve is a prolific writer of articles and stories covering a wide range of topics from travel and wine to politics and business and many points in between. She has established herself as a researcher of Maya archeology and history and has published two biographies of Maya kings as well as several serious professional papers. Her research may be found at www.mayas.doodlekit.com. Van Cleve is a former US Army Military Intelligence officer, Microsoft executive, and past president of the Seattle Wine Society. In addition she is a world traveler, a Wiccan priestess and teacher, and consultant for nonprofits. She has served on many boards of directors and on the Seattle Commission for Lesbians and Gays. Van Cleve received her Masters Degree in Medieval History from the University of Washington with a minor in languages.
