OverviewThis is a true story about a boy who dreamed of having a white cat. His mom said he could have a dog, but not a cat. She was afraid of cats. One night, the boy woke up and was not feeling well. After going to the hospital, the doctors determined he had a life-long illness, and would have to take medicine for the rest of his life. The boy needed a companion and some cheering up, so his mom and dad adopted a dog for him. They named him Buddy. While he loved Buddy with all his heart, he still yearned for a cat. One cold and windy night, the boy was on his way home from a friend's house, and he found a white kitten wandering about by herself. When he took her home, his mom said they could not keep her. After a week passed by, his mom recognized the bond that formed between him and the kitten. Along with Buddy, the kitten was a real comfort to him. She was so sweet, beautiful, and lovable that everyone had grown to love her, including his mom. The boy named her Miss Kitty. She quickly became one of the family. So, he finally had the white kitten he always dreamed of and a wonderful dog, too! And, at night he slept soundly with Miss Kitty snuggled up close, and Mr. Bud right next to his bed.
