Overview

We are so excited for you to dive into the book of Matthew. The book of Matthew is a worthwhile read. It is full of Jesus' miracles, parables, and His ultimate sacrifice for us. It all points to God's redemption story that has been planned since Genesis - actually before that. As Ephesians 1:4 says, "" even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him."" Jesus dying to save the sinners who repented and turned to God was never Plan B. This was always the original, beautiful plan! As you read through Matthew, know that some parts might be hard to understand. Don't get discouraged. God wants you reading His Word often. Pray that you will have the desire and love for His Word. Reading the Bible is the only way we can know who God is and what His perfect will is. The more we learn who God is, the more we love Him, and the more we love Him, the more we trust Him! The Bible is also our much-needed guide so we keep from sin and lead holy lives. As David says in Psalm 119:11, "" I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.""
