Overview

Cecilia, nacida en Morges, Suiza, el 24 de diciembre de 1796, era hija del consul Juan Nicolas Bohl de Faber y de Frasquita Larrea. Tomo el seudonimo de la poblacion ciudadrealense de Fernan Caballero, aunque tambien escribia utilizando el de Corina. Durante sus primeros anos vivio en Alemania hasta que regreso con su familia a la ciudad de Cadiz en 1813, a la edad de 17 anos. Contrajo matrimonio el 30 de marzo de 1816 con el capitan de infanteria Antonio Planelles y Bardaxi. La pareja se mudo a Puerto Rico, ya que su esposo habia sido destinado a dicha plaza, pero ese matrimonio duraria poco por el fallecimiento de don Antonio.
