OverviewMathematische Modellbildung und numerische Simulation sind neben dem Experiment und der Theoriebildung zur dritten Säule der naturwissenschaftlichen Forschung geworden. Diese Thematik wird systematisch bei der Darstellung der Grundprinzipien der Mechanik insbesondere der mathematischen Modellierung von strömenden Medien aufgegriffen.
