His areas of specialization include pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacovigilance, drug utilization studies, and comparative clinical research. Dr. Sharma has authored four books, filed five patents, and published over 99 research and review papers in highly reputed, peer-reviewed, and indexed journals with a cumulative impact factor of nearly 200.  Dr. Thakur Gurjeet Singh, Dean at Chitkara College of Pharmacy, Chitkara University, Punjab, is globally recognized among Stanford’s top 2% scientists.
