Author Information

Professor Merodio's research focuses on the mechanics of structures and materials with particular attention paid to structural instabilities (bifurcation) as well as material instabilities (kink bands). This involves the use of analytical and numerical approaches to deal with, for instance, constitutive modeling in the framework of continuum mechanics and the propagation of waves. He has authored over 75 peer-reviewer papers and has co-edited one book. Professor Ogden's primary areas of research are continuum mechanics and modeling and analysis of material systems. He has published over 225 peer-reviewer papers, edited one book, and authored or co-authored another 5 monographs.
