Daphne Rose Ewing will not be known to many. But she has been a fine poet for upwards of forty years, and now her work is coming to light. Blasphemous, dramatic, unstinting; a wordsmith with an incisive voice and a gift for flawless iambic pentameter, which she composed as easily as breathing. Daphne spent most of her professional career as a grant and proposal writer, but never gave up hope of publishing something creative. In 2023, she agreed with her editor to publish the poems that had been in her editor's possession for 40 years. But a case of Long COVID kept her from gathering and transmitting her more recent poems. She lost her husband of only 8 years in July of 2024; five months later, she, too, was gone.Tragically, her later works are lost. This book is a tribute to a fine human being and a fine writer.
