Rebecca Emberley is a celebrated children's book author/illustrator, designer, and now publisher. She is part of an incredibly talented family of artists and musicians, which include her father, Ed Emberley; her brother, Michael Emberley, an illustrator as well; her daughter, singer-songwriter Adrian Emberley; and her husband, musician Peter Black. Raised in Massachusetts, Rebecca published her first book in 1979. Since then she has published more than 40 books for children, including a very successful series of bilingual picture books and a collaboration with her father, Ed, of retold fables. She has branched out to textile design, music production, and last year co-founded a new hybrid publishing imprint, Two Little Birds Books. She now lives in Maine with her husband, two cats, and five chickens and is currently carving some new studio space out of an old barn.
