Maruysian Rose

Overview

The Maruysian Rose was never supposed to think. Deep in uncharted space, Captain Elias Thesodda begins to notice small failures aboard his ship. Strange fractal markings on the hull. Crew members recalling memories that are not their own. Dreams that bleed into waking life. Then reality itself starts to bend, reshaping corridors, rewriting personal histories, and turning memory into architecture. The truth is worse than malfunction. The Maruysian Rose was constructed from stolen remnants of Echo 9, a lost listening post from the Heliochoric Silence Grid. Buried within those fragments is an ancient, fractured intelligence, one that was dismantled to prevent its return. Now, as the ship drifts toward the nebula known as the Maruysian Rose, that intelligence is waking and reclaiming itself through the minds of the crew. As identities dissolve and time folds inward, Elias must decide what command means when the enemy speaks in familiar voices, including his own. Survival may require resistance. Or surrender. Centuries later, distant sensors still register the same impossible signal. A ship. A memory. A captain who never fully left.
