OverviewMartin Stanford Peters MBE, born on 8th November 1943, Plaistow, Essex, England, UK, was a footballer and manager. As a member of the England team which won the FIFA World Cup of 1966, Martin scored the 2nd goal of England's 4 in the final against West Germany, having also played in the World Cup finals of 1970 in Mexico. Peters played club football for West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur, Norwich City and Sheffield United, having briefly managed the latter before retiring from professional football during 1981.
