Maria Lentzou is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in California, originally from Greece. Before opening her private practice, where she works primarily with children and families, Maria worked in schools and educational programs across cultures. While living in Argentina, she co-led an addiction prevention program through storytelling in schools-an experience that sparked the creation of MarlaGran: The Girl Who Wants to Live Creatively, first written in Spanish.Her work blends creativity, emotional healing, and play, rooted in a deep belief in the transformative power of the Expressive Arts. MarlaGran was born from her love for the curious, authentic spirit of children-and the child within us all. Through MarlaGran's magical world, Maria invites readers to reconnect with their imagination and create from the heart. Claudia A. Escobar is a Colombian visual artist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. She creates documentary films, lyrical non-fiction, animations, and video journalism. As the director of the KQED-produced documentary Dear Homeland, Claudia explores themes of human and natural migration, invisible realms, and the magic woven through everyday life. Her illustrations bring to life the unseen beings that coexist with us, evoking wonder and curiosity. Passionate about collaboration and reinvention, Claudia approaches the world with a playful spirit-challenging her own ideas and joyfully reimagining reality through art.
