Author Information

Rev Dr Glyn J. Ackerley holds a PhD in theology from King's College, London. He has been an ordained minister in the Church of England for thirty-four years. He served as an assistant minister at St. Peter & St. Paul Tonbridge before taking on the role of Rector of Willingham and Rampton in Cambridgeshire. His next post was as Vicar of St. Philip & St. James, Chatham, Kent, for nearly sixteen years. During his time there, he trained six curates. From 2009 he was DDO (Diocesan Director of Ordinands) in Rochester Diocese, while he was Vicar of St. Peter and St. Paul, Shorne, Kent. He then moved to be Vicar of Christchurch Bushmead in Luton, Bedfordshire. Since 2019, he has worked as a theological researcher and writer and is based in his home town of Rushden, Northamptonshire. He has PTO (Permission to Officiate) in the Diocese of Peterborough and helps with ministry at St. Mary Rushden.
