As maritime businesses shift from North to South, from West to East, and from concentrated in a few countries to distributed over many countries, an Asian Perspective of maritime economics and business should today actually be the default perspective. With his usual insightful historical considerations, adding some grain of behavioural economics, Okan has put together a valuable collection of papers from - you may be surprised - exclusively Asian authors. Congratulations.'- Jan Hoffmann, Chief, Trade Logistics Branch, Division on Technology and Logistics, UNCTAD 'Okan Duru has compiled another timely book.
