This volume will be useful not only to those involved in marine biological research, but to biologists in general who wish to add another dimension to their backgrounds. The editor of this book, Professor Klaus Rohde has to be congratulated on having achieved publication of such a unique monograph. It offers a very thorough review of the present knowledge on virtually all marine parasites and most of what concerns their biology and ecology. This work should be considered the standard in its field. Individuals interested in parasites in any natural system would be rewarded by referring to this work.
