Caught up in a tough re-election fight, Gerry has promised the voters of Lakeview that he can get State funds to rebuild the town, - and now he must do what he can to make this happen. Short on campaign money, he has not hesitated to take shortcuts and bribes, and now, unknown to him, the FBI is actively investigating his campaign. What happens next is shocking. The student' father kills Gerry. For Margo, her husband's death is a tragedy but not an ending: she is determined to get her life back on track. Sensing an opportunity, she becomes a popular speaker at political events, touching on issues of ending gun violence and helping working women.
