Marga is a captivating historical fiction novel. Dr. Ingrid finds out that the DNA strands belonging to her and the person she now calls ""Kigeni"" (an alien in Swahili) are distinct from any DNA strands found on Earth. She and her life partner discover that these DNA strands had coding sequences artificially added to humans at least 80,000 years ago. Dr. Stephen uses his software and knowledge of ciphers to decipher the encrypted code in DNA. They succeed to access the knowledge of existence of a sentient, intelligent species of aliens that once called Earth home for millions of years before humans diverged and departed some 80,000 years ago. Science fiction fans will enjoy this book because the author skillfully combines romance, espionage, and the conflict between an advanced alien species and another hostile alien species to create a compelling science fiction story. However, what made them leave Earth, the only known habitat left to their species? What happened to them and where did they go? Their farewell to Earth was tearful because they were saying goodbye to some of their friends whose memories had been erased for a reason. Why do the couples hide this information from the public? It will be difficult for the readers to decide if what the author has written is an illusion or the real thing.

Author Information

Jeevan Gopalan earned a finance degree from the University of Mysore. His passion for books and science inspired him to quit his job and pursue writing, and this is his second book. His previous book, written under a pen name, was a psychological thriller about how the right belief can help mental health in scientifically proven ways. This is the first book in a planned series about aliens. Despite the fact that it is fiction, he has included science that may soon become a reality.
