Li Jie, a researcher and doctoral supervisor, is the president of the Chinese Historical Society. He has served as the deputy director of the Central Literature Research Office, vice president and party member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, director and party secretary of the Institute of Contemporary China Studies, and president of the Qiushi Magazine.
