He is an internationally recognized expert in infection prevention and control both in developed and developing countries. Dr Damani is a member of the core group of the WHO 1st Global Patient Safety Challenge, 'Clean care is safer Care', and was also the country coordinator for the WHO pilot site for the implementation of the Hand Hygiene programme.
