El arquitecto Johan van Lengen nacio en Amsterdam, Holanda, y ha pasado la mayor parte de su vida en America Latina. Despues de realizar proyectos de urbanismo y arquitectura en California, se quedo en Brasil como profesor e investigador de la energia solar en la Universidad Estatal de Campinas (Unicamp), realizando, paralelamente, investigaciones antropologicas sobre los habitantes indigenas. En 1977 fue invitado por la ONU y enviado especial de la reina de los Paises Bajos para iniciar un trabajo de capacitacion en Mexico, donde permanecio durante ocho an~os. Johan van Lengen is an architect, professor, and researcher of solar energy at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), conducting, in parallel, anthropological research on the inhabitants. In 1977 he was invited by the UN and a special envoy of the Queen of the Netherlands to start training work in Mexico, where he stayed for eight years.
