Overview

This manual has been written with the intention of promoting backpacking in the Dominican Republic and other Latin America countries. This manual allows people interested to know important details about sustainable camping, hiking and backpacking. The National Association of Hiking and Camping (Asociacion Nacional de Senderismo y Campismo [ANSC]) feels privileged to be able to provide this teaching material and trusts to be used not only by the participants of the Workshop of Basic Backpacking, but also for all those interested in practicing hiking and camping through its own resources, of the sweat of their forehead and the strength of their back.
