OverviewMankind is a sci-fi fantasy novel written with the intent to allow Black people in America and around the world to see themselves in a different light. The book covers the entire human experience in that it details our very creation and goes well into the future. Mankind will tell you a very different history behind how we were created and involves alien civilizations, time and space travel. The story follows a young woman (Kemet) as she comes of age and matures into our heroine. The reader is allowed to follow along as she works to vanquish humanities enemies on earth and across the galaxy. I realize that many people of color, young and old, don't see themselves in a positive light very often. I wanted to address that as well. Mankind is my attempt at doing just that. After I saw how proud we were to see ourselves as kings in the movie Black Panther and thought, ""What if we could see ourselves as GODS? Curators of our own existence."" I hope this book offers a glimpse into what could be possible if mankind truly unifies our powers and creates a reality we can all be proud of because all are served.
