Author Information

Gilles Clément is a French gardener, landscape designer, botanist, and essayist. He has taught at the National School of Landscape Architecture in Versailles since 1980 and has designed numerous prominent projects, such as the Domaine du Rayol in Var, Parc Matisse in Lille, and the gardens of the Musée du quai Branly in Paris. He has written many books on gardens, including Un grand jardin, Abécédaire, and L'Alternative ambiante.
