Author Information

Lori Sackmann has been passionate about history ever since she was a little girl, growing up in an old Civil War town. Upon arriving in New York City in 2000, she realized that there's more to history than 19th-century battlefields, and she became fascinated with how architecture reflects the evolution of the city. For several years, she was a tour guide in New York City. Today she is a tourist of the world, traveling with her husband, Jeff Sackmann.
