Overview

Mango Kitty might have had a rough start in life, being abandoned as a kitten, but now her life is happy and full. She lives in a cabin in the woods with all of her friends: Henry the twitchy mouse; Munch the legless possum; Poofie the flightless bird; and Sidekick the frostbitten fuzzy-bear. Together, they get up to all sorts of hijinks and enjoy wonderful adventures together, which have been captured in this series of fun comic strips that you can colour any way you want. Lots of fun awaits you ... as you get to know Mango Kitty and her friends and help to bring a little colour into their lives.

Author Information

Born and raised in Southern Alberta, Canada, Marilyn Osaka grew up on a farm, working very hard to help with all the farm-related chores. One year, after a very successful harvest, she and her siblings were each offered the choice of a special gift. She chose a cat after falling in love with a picture of one in a schoolbook and this began her lifelong appreciation of furry felines. Having spent most of her working career in the computer-services industry, Marilyn enjoys the challenge of using a variety of software programs to create unique artforms, many of which feature Mango: an abandoned kitten she fell in love with and adopted fourteen years ago, and who is the inspiration for the Mango Kitty series of comic strips and now this colouring book. She hopes her work will bring sunshine and joy into the lives of children everywhere and inspire them to live a life full of colour and creativity. Marilyn lives with Mango in a small, rural golf-course community near Drayton Valley, Alberta. You can also visit her website mangokitty.com.
