Since 2003 he has been creating his so-called Atlas works in which he cuts up or shreds map materials and atlases, and then with great virtuosity and a painterly style combines them on wooden panels to form unique landscapes or figurative presentations. Another Girl, Another World presents a selection of his insightful portraits of women. Composed of snippets of paper, they are women who tempt the viewer - like sirens - into the world of the artist's images. Manfred Peckl, born in 1968 in Wels, now lives in Frankfurt / Main. He studied at the Linz Academy of Art and at the Stadel Academy in Frankfurt.
