Lau, LCSW, is on the training faculty for the New York State Children's Justice Task Force Forensic Best Practice Training. In this capacity, he has trained caseworkers, mental health workers, law enforcement personnel, and attorneys throughout the state on issues related to child sexual abuse for more than 20 years. In addition, he serves as a consultant to other educators, caseworkers, law enforcement personnel and mental health care providers on the investigation and treatment of victims of sexual abuse and their families. Lau is Program Director of Children FIRST at Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service. Children FIRST (the Children and Families Institute for Research, Support and Training) is committed to advancing the welfare of children and families in the social service system.
