Author Information

Claire Louise Williams (BA (Hons), Dip Ed, MA, Grad Dip Lib Info Sc, AALIA) teaches English and communications at Newcastle Technical College and the University of Newcastle and formerly lectured in librarianship at Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education (now Charles Sturt University). She reviews books, has published on women's sport and leisure, and is working on a book on censorship in school libraries. Edward Monkhouse (M.L.S., Western Ontario), a teacher and library consultant with the Wellington County Board of Education, Guelph, ON, has taught school librarianship in Canada and Africa and published in several journals. He is active in several library associations and a former president of the Canadian School Library Association. James Henri (BEc, MA, Grad Dip Lib, TTC, AACEA, ALAA) is Senior Lecturer, School of Information Studies, Charles Sturt University, Australia, where he coordinates courses in teacher leadership. He teaches and researches educational reform at the school level, the role of the teacher librarian in the school's instructional program, and effective management. Previous books include The School Curriculum and Cooperative Planning and Teaching: Australian Theory and Practice (1988-1990, CSU Centre for Information Studies).
