Reviews

This book provides important insights into the challenges of managing the complex networks that typify modern supply chains. The authors address the strategic and managerial issues that supply chain managers face with a refreshing combination of relevance and rigour. Martin Christopher, Professor of Marketing & Logistics, Cranfield University, United Kingdom This is an excellent contribution to our understanding of the complexity of global supply chains, and how they can be managed in a constantly changing world. Managing the global supply chain gives the reader a profound insight into the underlying mechanisms of the corporate logistics network, and how collaboration and open information exchange can improve the effectiveness of supply chains. The key messages in this book are absolutely fundamental for success in business. Lars Petersen, Group Senior Vice President, SCM, Grundfos Management A/S, Denmark At Lund University we have used Managing the Global Supply Chain the last six years as a textbook in a course on Supply Chain Management at our MSc program in Engineering. About 100 students choose this elective course annually, which indicates that the book is popular. Now with the third edition, updated with the latest from supply chain profession and academia, I really recommend it for students, researchers as well as for practitioners. Sten Wandel, Professor of Engineering Logistics, Lund University, Sweden
