Weinberg is an Associate Professor of Management and holds the Dean Henry J. Engler, Jr. Distinguished Professorship at Loyola University New Orleans College of Business. Dr. Weinberg's research investigates social and psychological co-creation of outcomes in leadership relationships at work. Focusing predominately on informal forms of leadership - e.g., mentoring, social networks, and implicit theories - this research converges in a way that helps to explain how intrasubjective perceptions and processes and intersubjective dynamics inform the mutual construction of leadership, workplace relationships, and strategic outcomes. Dr. Weinberg also specializes in measurement instrument (scale) development and shortening. Frankie is Associate Editor of the Journal of Managerial Psychology (JMP), Editor of JMP's Special Issue on Mentoring and Coaching in the Workplace, and recent past Board Member of the Southern Management Association (SMA), which works together with SAGE on governance of two highly respected journals - Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Scientific Reports. Dr. Weinberg regularly addresses global audiences at the Academy of Management and SMA meetings, and has served as Plenary Speaker for the Mentoring Institute at the University of New Mexico's Annual Mentoring Conference and at the Chief Judges of the State Courts of Appeal (CCJSCA) Annual Meeting. He publishes in well-respected outlets including the Journal of Management, Communication Research, and The Leadership Quarterly (LQ). His research has been labelled an exemplar with regard to organizational research methods, and his article in the Journal of Marketing, Theory, and Practice was elected the journal's Article of the Year. Further, Dr. Weinberg has earned highly respectable teaching evaluations averaging 4.7 out of 5. A Certified Professional Coach and uniquely certified in the LEGO(R) Serious Play(R) method of facilitation, Dr. Weinberg has presented research, conducted workshops and taught graduate and undergraduate courses on four continents including several years at Assumption University in Thailand; a Singapore Institute of Management / SUNY Buffalo partnership; Universidad Loyola Andalusia, and the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM).
