LeBlanc, MD, MBA, FACS Director, Minimally Invasive Surgery Institute and Fellowship Program, Baton Rouge, LA, USA; Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery, Louisiana State University of Medicine, New Orleans; in private practice at the Surgical Specialty Group Inc, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. He is the founding member and past president of the American Hernia Society, and he is on the editorial boards of the journals, Hernia, Journal of the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. He has edited the textbooks Laparoscopic Hernia Surgery (Hodder Arnold) and Management of Laparoscopic Surgical Complications (Marcel Dekker). He has also authored over 90 articles and book chapters on hernia, laparoscopic surgery, and socioeconomics of surgery.
