OverviewChances are you've seen the meme, where it's a 4 panel cartoon. The first panel shows a man in water up to his neck, and he seems to be in distress. The next panel is him up to his eyeballs and in complete panic. The third panel is only the guys hand, reaching up for someone to save him. The 4th panel is someone in a boat giving that hand a high five, and telling him to ""Man up, you've got this."" Maybe you've laughed at that, maybe you've thought, yeah that sounds about right. Well, regardless of what you thought of it, you know that Men have always been told that they have to be the strong silent type. Don't ask for help, don't show emotions and whatever you do, never show vulnerability. When you take generation after generation of men and you raise them to believe that asking for help makes them weak, then you get a society full of men who suffer in silence. They hide their pain from the world all in an attempt to be seen as a true man. It's all bullshit. Men are dying at an alarming rate, and everyone is telling them to 'Man Up'. This book is my journey. From childhood trauma, to passing that trauma on to my own kids, to nearly becoming just another statistic. Then I finally learned 30 years too late, what it truly meant to 'Man Up"". Take this journey with me, and hopefully we can help break the cycle of pain for you, for me, and for men everywhere.
