OverviewThis is the story of one man's experience of the devastating effects of a major stroke and his attempts to recover from it. It is also the story of a dog's experience of life with unpredictable, irrational human beings and his attempts to deal with all of that. Eric Sinclair is a writer and education consultant who has worked in schools and colleges in West Africa, Turkey, Germany and the UK. For ten years he was Head Teacher of Kirkwall Grammar School in Orkney, and subsequently Head Teacher of Aboyne Academy in Aberdeenshire. Since suffering a major stroke in 2004, he has undertaken voluntary work for The Stroke Association as well as for the NHS through Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
