Mary Jo Powell, wife, mother, grandmother of forty-six and great-grandmother of sixteen children. A teen mother who learned responsibility at an early age. Knowing that if you try and don't give up your dreams will and can come true. I was always putting together ideas for business, working on family books never knowing for sure what it meant until I started Mama Ella's Rooster I finally realized that I am an Author. It is not the ability to write well or speak well. It is having ideas and stories in your head that only makes sense when you put it on paper and share with other. Writing this book, I became aware just how true this was. I know this book will leave history for my family even when I am no longer hear to tell our family history and stories.
