OverviewModern battle maps of Gallipoli are few and far between and this work is the most comprehensive. The map is drawn accurately to scale and may be used for navigation. To achieve maximum clarity, only essential roads, towns, villages, etc that feature in battle accounts, or that are needed for orientation, have been included. Principal roads are navigable by ordinary saloon car. The map also presents a full alphabetical index, location index and is printed in four colours. The precise locations of around 100 memorials, gun emplacements, forts, Ross Bastiaan plaques and ramparts are shown as well as British, French and Turkish cemeteries.
