Asrar-ul-Haq, better known as Majaz Lakhnawi, was an Indian Urdu poet. He is known for his romantic and revolutionary poetry. He is also famous for his witty dialogues and jokes. Majaz ke Lateefay, i.e. Jokes by Majaz Lakhnawi, is the collection of hilarious jokes by Majaz Lakhnawi compiled by Ahmed Jamal Pasha. شاعری کے علاوہ مجاز اپنی حاضر جوابی اور بذلہ سنجی کے لیے بھی خاصے مشہور رہے ہیں۔ باتوں ہی باتوں میں وہ ایسے غیر معمولی شگوفے چھوڑتے کہ لوگ لطف اندوز بھی ہوتے اور ماحول بھی خوش گوار ہو جاتا۔ ممتاز مزاح نگار اور ادیب احمد جمال پاشا نے مجاز کے انہی لطائف اور زعفران زار باتوں کو ایک مجموعہ کی شکل میں پیش کیا ہے جو پہلی مرتبہ ۱۹۶۶ء میں شائع ہوا تھا۔ تعمیر پبلی کیشنز (حیدرآباد) کی جانب سے یہی کتاب بطور جدید ایڈیشن پیش خدمت ہے۔

"Ahmad Jamal Pasha is a famous Urdu humorist. He was involved in the profession of journalism during 1960 to 1975. In 1957, he organized a Parody conference and also published a ""Parody Number"" of 'Sir Syed Hall magazine' under his editorship. It was in Aligarh that his first book ""Majaz Ke Latifay"" was first published. Syed Mukarram Niyaz, a writer and journo from Hyderabad, working as a Civil Engineer, started many websites to promote Urdu language in new generation of Urdu speakers. Mukarram has a long history of love with language and literature, for the past 25 years He is writing essays and short stories for different Urdu newspapers and magazines."
