Dr. rer. nat. Paul Herrmann ist IBM Mainframe-Projekt-Verantwortlicher am Institut für Informatik der Universität Leipzig. Er ist zuständig für Lehre und Forschung auf dem Gebiet der Großrechentechnik, für Hard- und Software des IBM zSeries Server z114. Seit 2000 ist er verantwortlicher System-Manager für IBM Großrechner-Systeme und wurde von der Firma IBM Deutschland mehrfach zum ""System-Manager des Jahres"" ausgezeichnet. Er betreute zahlreiche Bachelor- und Master-Arbeiten in diesem Bereich und veröffentlichte diverse Publikationen.
