Overview

Magog is a curious tree frog who sets off from his home in sunny Queensland to explore the world around him. He boards planes, trains and ships to traverse Australia from east to west. The melodic rhyme coupled with bright and captivating images, ensure the reader is both entertained and educated. The hope of the author is that through Magog's adventures, children will learn about the unique places of Australia and that the seed will be planted for many explorations of their own. Author Information

Denita has spent her career in education, both as a language teacher and international student coordinator. She loves sharing the best of Australia with students from around the globe. She has always loved writing poems and some of her fondest childhood memories are of times on the family farm, crafting rhymes around the old Aga stove.Magog was born on a secluded island in Vanuatu during a moment of boredom and with just an old 'F'encyclopaedia from the resort library for inspiration! Denita hopes that Magog will motivate the next generation to have their own adventures in this beautiful world of ours. During the day you can find Jacqui working as a friendly community pharmacist, with a flair for wearing exuberant socks. By night, she creates art, as an avenue to reduce stress and to tune in to her natural desire to express creativity. This is her first project as a children's book illustrator, very happily completing a life-long goal
