OverviewMapping the spatial distribution of the soil's physical and chemical attributes, which are related to agricultural productivity, makes it possible to identify specific management zones for crops, guaranteeing greater productivity at lower production costs. The aim of this study was to discriminate the spatial variability of soil physical and chemical attributes related to coffee crop productivity, identifying and mapping specific management zones for the crop using magnetic susceptibility (MS). The study area is located in the municipality of Matão-SP, on the Cambuhy Agrícola Ltda farm, where the soil is classified as Argissolo Vermelho-Amarelo Distrófico and for the last 25 years has been occupied exclusively by Coffea arabica coffee. Samples were collected from 1557 (39 ha) points in the 0.00-0.20 and 0.60-0.80 m layers to assess the physical, chemical, granulometric and (SM) attributes. The sampling unit at each point consisted of nine plants, whose productivity, grain percentages, type of coffee, leaf macro and micronutrient content, plant height, crown diameter and length of the plagiotropic branch were also evaluated.
