Overview

The second Pelham Hardimann espionage/thriller comedy set during WWII. The Prime Minister studied his cigar. 'Magna Carta, Studely, is the beginning of freedom. The success of Hitler will be the end of it. For the whole world.' Mr Churchill rested a fat hand on Pelham's shoulder. 'We have a plan, Pelham.' That first name thing coming from the likes of Mr Churchill and his ilk did not go down well with Pelham. Take heed. Be very wary when your betters climb down from their mountain tops, scrape their boots on your welcome mat, stick their feet beneath your kitchen table, confess to a liking for your tea and pretend to lend an ear to your thoughts. Be very careful; they are plotting as they sip. 'A plan?' Pelham asked. 'Yes, Mr Hardimann,' Commander Fleming interjected. 'We are going to let them take it.' Once again, Pelham Hardimann, with his rotund, rough, and reliable sidekick Studely, is sent into the jaws of wartime hell to retrieve England's greatest treasure. Pelham and Studely, while fencing with the shenanigans of double-agent and spy, Hammer, must run the gauntlet of bombing raids, Saharan dunes, and Alpine abysses. Failure is unthinkable. Failure is unforgivable.Failure is not an option. Failure is highly likely.
