Author InformationRochelle Emanuel-Smith is an actor, presenter and television personality born and raised in Western Australia. She grew up in various smaller communities in Western Australia's Northern region such as Leonora, Wyndham, Mount Magnet, Nullagine, and Exmouth. Finally, her family settled in Perth, where she currently resides.During her time studying at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts, she worked as a nanny caring for small children. This experience with youngsters gave her first-hand insight into the stories, songs, and picture books that children are often drawn to.Having her own children at 36, Rochelle began to write ""Magical Baby"" as a dedication to her twins. She and her partner maintain a very creative household for their children, both being writers, actors, and vocal artists. ""Magical Baby"" is hopefully the first of many children's books to be written by Rochelle. Ellie Ansell is an illustrator and VFX artist, who grew up in Rossendale's valley, Lancashire, UK, where she practised traditional and technical art skills, and enjoyed long walks in nature. She studied Computer Visualisation & Animation at Bournemouth University, before hopping to London to begin her career as a Creature Visual Effects Artist. This involved studying animal anatomy for accurate physical simulations, hair and fur to digitally 'sculpt', as well as a whole lot of technical problem solving for film, TV and commercials. She later moved to work in Sydney, Australia, where she connected with Rochelle by a mutual friend for her delightful poem, 'Magical Baby'. Ellie designed the book with large, vibrant illustrations, and details for tiny fingers to point at, taking colour inspiration from skies at different times of the day. The artwork was created digitally with pen and tablet, and primarily during her commutes - it gathered a lot of interest to fellow passengers, and she hopes it grabs yours too.
