Heidi Rocha has an understanding of children that is truly special and it really shines in this book in her series. Through the eyes of Maggie, this book tells children what to expect every step of the way when they go to the dentist so they are not as anxious or afraid. She uses humor and reassuring language so that nothing seems scary to a young child. This is a MUST for any anxious child and really, all children before visiting the dentist for the first time. After retiring from clinical practice, Heidi pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a children's book author. She has since written and self-published seven books, including her celebrated *Sparkly Smiles Series*-a delightful collection of engaging and educational dental stories designed to inspire young readers. When she's not writing or teaching, Heidi enjoys life on her small farm in Connecticut with her husband, Joe (a talented barber), their two spoiled dogs, and five playful goats. She cherishes spending time with her two adult daughters, who continue to make her proud by living their best lives.
